Teerthodhar Committee was the sole sponsor for the entire month of September 2002 for the Sadhu Vaiyavach activity. Shri Navkar Sarvar Kendra visited Shankeshwar, Patan, Mehsana, Khambat, Limbdi, Surat, Rajkot, Ratanpur, Vadhwan and surrounding areas with their Vaidraj and Hadvaidya. Here is the overview of number of Sadhu-Sadhviji who received various medical

128 Sadhu-Sadhviji's received eye treatment and prescription glasses. Items Donated to Sadhu Sadhviji: Hot water begs, water bag, Kneecap, mosquito net, Almond oil, Balm, and wheel chairs. REIKIE CAMP: "Reikie" is very important for Sadhu Sadhviji who may be traveling or are in small towns where there is no medical facility. "Reikie" is the best help during such times. Two days each of first and second degree Reikie "Atmik Shakti" kiran chikitsa camp was attended by 60 Sadhu-Sadhviji. They felt that this would help them and others for the healing purpose. AMENDER MUNIJI: As you know Muniji suffered quite a serious stroke around June 25, 2002. With the blessings and support of good souls, we have been able to pull him out from the danger. He is recovering very well but not yet ready for his preaching routine. JAINA has paid for his medical expenses of $9,600. International Jain Sangh has played very important role in looking after his health. They are paying for their rehab equipment, therapy and medicines. SAMET SIKHARJI PILGRIMAGE JANUARY 18 - FEBRUARY 2, 2003 JAINA is very happy to announce once again a pilgrimage to Samet Sikhar and nearby Tirths. This 16 day Yatra of many holly places is in cooperation with Veerayatan. Samet Sikhar is where 20 Tirthankars of Vartman Chauvisi attained Salvation (Nirvana). Traveling through Bihar has always been considered a difficult endeavor and a Sangh Yatra is the only real choice for most people.

For those of us living in North America this is a rare opportunity to join a Sangh to Samet Sikharji and other nearby Tirths.
We also plan to visit Temples of Delhi, Shouryapuri (Agra). Aligadh (KanjiSwami Ashram), Ayodhya, Banaras, Rajgir, Guniyaji, Pawapuri, Kundalpur. Lachhwad (Kshatriyakund), Champapuri and Bodhigaya.
Registration will be will be first come first served basis. We expect that Yatra will be fully subscribed. Many of you have inquired if a relative or friend living in India could join our Yatra. Our planned capacity for this Yatra is 160. We will be happy to include your relatives, if we have any space. In addition to the above-mentioned temples, we will be spending 2 nights at Veerayatan. At Veerayatan, Yatris will get a chance to see "Compassion in Action" - message of Mahavir put in practice by Acharya Chandanaji and others.
Sadhvijis of Veerayatan are in the poorest region of the country. In Lachhwad, we will be visiting school built with donations from JAINA Yatris of 2001 and is being managed by Veerayatan.
Our tentative date for starting of the yatra from Delhi is January 18. Our Yatra will end in Patna on the evening of February 2. We will be traveling by Air-conditioned train and we hope to charter a special train if we have sufficient number of Yatris. The cost of the land portion of the pilgrimage within India is US$990. This includes all traveling within India by bus or train, accommodation in hotels or Dharmsala, tips, $30 registration fee and all the meals. $100.00 of the $990 will be earmarked for "Yatra Fund". The Yatra Fund will be used for donations to temples and institutions we visit.
