To promote "ANEKANTAVAD" in practice. . Accomplishments: Co-Sponsor of the World parliament of Religions held in Chicago - 1993. ⚫ Jain Symbol and Holidays included in calendar published by NCCJ. JAINA CHARITABLE TRUST: Chairperson: Dr. Mahendra Pandya (718) 816-0083 With the contribution from its 100 members, the Trust has received over $200,000 and has contributed over $100,000 to various worthy causes such as securing Jain Books, conventions (JAINA & YJA), Temples, Medical Institutions, JAINA General Fund etc. JAINA PATRON PROGRAM: Chairperson: Mr. Hasendra Shah (562) 404-2851 This program was initiated in 1997 to enable JAINA to meet its essential expenses. With a yearly expense of about $100,000 to maintain a headquarter, continue the publication of Jain Digest and other such activities, it is imperative for all to become JAINA PATRON with an annual contribution of $251 or become Grand Patron for Life by contributing $5000. Future Plans: • To create a complete resource book for Jain Center construction and expansion.. TEMPLE GUIDELINES: EDUCATION: Chairperson: Mr. Pravin K. Shah (919) 859-4994 • To provide Jain religious education to children, youths and adults by conducting classes, workshops and lectures at various centers in North America and other countries. To prepare Jain educational material for children, youth and adults in North America. To prepare pathshala teachers who in turn teach Jain to local community. To provide medium for interactions among Pathshala teachers of North America. Accomplishments: Now almost all Jain Centers in North America have regular Pathshala or Swadhyay program and members are gaining knowledge about Jainism through their local teachers or visiting scholars. CD containing JAINA Education and Literature published. Future Plans: • To prepare master database of all people connected with Jain education and establish e-group member list on Internet. Quarterly electronic newsletter covering various aspects of Pathshala activities. To organize workshops and convention at various locations to educate Jain community at large. To establish a website for Jaina Education material. JAIN NETWORK FORUM (JNF): - Jain meets Jain Chairman: Mr. Sunil Jain (630) 705-1884 The JNF database contains all registered JNF/MIS members and all future registered members of YJA, YJP and JAINA conventions. Jain Network Forum program is accustomed to member's needs, their interest and their future plans. They will have the opportunity to complete a personal profile about weekly activities, personal hobbies and future plans. The members will be able to search the JNF database by choosing the criteria that matter to them and then they will be able to view each matching candidates profile and picture.
