Chairperson: Mr. Kantilal Shah (949) 459-8299 • To collect and distribute information concerning benefits, programs offered by the States and Federal government,
such as Social Security benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, Transportatios and Housing benefits. • To provide advise on Estate Planning, preparation of Living wills / Trust, Long term care.
• To plan for social activities. Accomplishments: • Have organized various activities for the seniors, like bus trips to various home temples, recreation parks, musical
programs, picnics, Rangoli competition and religious poojas in Los Angeles areas. Future Plans:
• Planning transportation facility for seniors so they can visit Jain Center frequently • Exploring the housing facility for seniors.

TIRTHODHDHAR:
Chairperson: Mr. Kirit Daftary (254) 776-4209. This recently established committee has done very important work by taking care of our Living Tirths, our Sadhus, Sadhavis and Educational Institutions back in India. Accomplishments:
Jain School built in Lachhwad (Bihar) from the donation collected and is fully functional. • Provided medical help for Sadhavis in Ahmedabad. • Providing medical support to Amrender Muniji's sickness.
V.R. GANDHI SCHOLARSHIP:
Chairperson: Mr. Pravin C. Shah (516) 248-8265 • To promote and encourage studies in Jainism
To promote message of Universal love and non-violence through education. To commerate historical visit of V.R. Gandhi to West in 1893 to represent Jainism at World Parliament of Religions.
To provide scholarship for advance studies in Jainism. Accomplishments:
• Award of 5 scholarship to students studing M. Phil. & Ph.D. in India.
• Promoted the project in India and USA through various media. Future Plans:
• To award 10 scholarship in the year 2001-02
WORLD COMMUNITY SERVICES:
Chairperson: Mr. Bachubhai Ajmera (301) 924-8070 • To provide Humanitarian Services all around the World with emphasis on India. • To provide Medical Services to disadvantaged and poor people.
• To RUSH to emergency disasters such as: Earthquake, Floods, Hurricane Famine Accomplishments: • Helped victims of Earthquake in Lathur (Mah.), North ridge (CA), Uttar Kashi (U.P.), Kobe (Japan), and Kutch
(Gujarat) Conducted Medical Camps in Kutch & Veerayatan, Pune, Mangrol (India) Helped war victims in Rawanda Adopted 2 villages in Kutch during cyclone
Provided financial help to war victims of Kosovo • Rebuilt village in Orissa, India
• Donated number of Medical Equipments, Clothes, Blankets, Water Bottles, Wheel Chairs, Dental Chairs in India. Future Plans: • Rebuild 2 villages in Kutch, Gujarat
