________________ In the same venue, Veerayatan's Acharya Chandanaji's organization has set up 23 regular and vocational teaching institutes in Kutch and Saurashtra. Some of our young adults, Shayana Parekh and Kimberly Parekh, are going there to teach vocational education for one or more years. Please browse on the website jaina.org and examine a variety of items available to you like JNF and JAINA Focus. The JNF-MIS (Jain Network Forum-Marriage Information Services) participation activity, which was started online during the last convention, has been continued. We have created the JAINA Focus newsletter on the same website. This newsletter is intended to get to you timely information with convenient access via the Internet. I urge all Jains to inform Mr. Samprati Shah for publication requests of any reportable achievement, which he and his committee will then evaluate for, need to include in JAINA Focus. To facilitate your donations activities we at JAINA have established credit card acceptance services. Please contact our treasurer Girish Shah for details. • In new topics, We are working on ways in which all member societies can have access to highly acclaimed scholars from all over the world. I have requested all the presidents of larger Jain Centers to provide some portion of the time for scholars to lecture at smaller centers in the surrounding areas. YJP has planned their Fifth annual convention on October 12-14 in Montreal, Quebec. Please contact Sanjay Shah or their website. • Planning for the YATRA 2003 of Sameet Sikhar and nearby Tirths covering 87 Kalyanak bhoomis is well underway. Anyone interested should register soon as number of seats is limited and strictly on first come first served basis. Contact Dilip V. Shah at dilipvshah@aol.com for details. • 12th Biennial JAINA Convention is planned for July 3-6 2003 at Cincinnati. Under leadership of Anop Vora, Dr. Surendra Singhvi and Soha Shah with Convention Board and many committees, all activities are progressing at full force. Don't forget to register early in early bird phase starting Oct 15 2002. Our plans are underway to broadcast via Internet on topics like "Let's visit Delwada Temples" or "The lecture series for Paryushan parva" or "How similar is Jainism and modern science" etc. JAINA has decided to work on another milestone in instilling Jain Sanskar into our children at a very early age. The JAINA Publication Committee (JPC) has started an ambitious project of publishing a series of Jain Sanskar Animated Stories on CDs or VHS tapes for Children. Contact Dr. Premchand Gada at gadapb9jafna@pol.net for details. Again, I thank you very much to let us (the Executive committee) serve you. And with your support, we plan to do much more. I want to build many sadhermic bhavans near our Jain Centers. Thank you, and Jai Jinendra. - Dr. Bipin Parikh - President, JAINA THE JAINA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: 2001-2003 # TITLE NAME CITY ST. TEL.
