WINNERS ESSAY COMPETITION '86 BOSTON JAIN CENTER WELLESLEY, MA. Results of Essay Competition '86, organised by Boston Jain Center for Groups A - D varying in ages, were recently announced. There were 40 entries and the judges, Dr. Usha Sheth (Fairmont, NY), Mr. Bruce Constain (Mississauga, ON) and Mr. Manu Doshi (Highland Park, IL) selected the following winners in the order of rank: Group A (6-9 years): Falgunee Parekh, Shefali Parekh (Phoenix, AZ) & Mital Gosalia (Glen Falls, NY). Group B (10 - 11 years) : Shewta Shah (Carry, NC), Nimisha Parekh (Phoenix, AZ) & Nisha Varia (Chapel Hill, NC). Group C (12 - 14 years) : Divyesh Sejpal (Raleigh, NC), Ranak jasani (Glen Falls, NY) & Sandeep Singhvi (St. Louis, MO). Group D (15 years - older) : Vikas Jain (Monaca, PA), Shilpa Shah (Carry, NC) & Rupal Kothari (Pittsburg, PA). DR. NAT SHAH ARRANGES INFANT'S HEART OPERATION CORNWALL, ON. The Canadian press reports that Dr. Nat Shah, a physician in Cornwall, has arranged surgery for a 17 month old Sweta Gupta from Hyderbad, India to repair a hole in her heart. In Ottawa, on March 3, heart specialist Dr. Wilbert Keon performed open heart surgery on Sweta. Dr. Shah is a founding director of Cornwall based Child Haven International, an agency that helps under-privileged children in Third World Countries. an agensi in a founding KALPA SUTRA JAIN FEDERATION OF NA BUYS 120 COPIES CINCINNATI, OH. Now this Kalpa Sutra has been published in a single volume with three languages, original Prakrit, Hindi and English and reproduction of 16th century Jain miniature paintings.
