Goswami surveyed Assam, Asiatic Society, Indian Muscum, and Cooch Behar state in search of Assamese mss. during 1912-1913. He also noted in his dairy about other collections of mss. available in Assam. These mss. were handed over to Kamarup Anusandhan Samiti for preservation till the establishment of the Provincial Museum at Gauhati.
