Contains 24 Sanskrit, 4 unidentified manuscripts and fragments of manuscripts in Tamil. The Library also has many Burmese and Buddhist palm-leaf manuscripts. The illuminated complete text of Mahabharata in silk scroll dated Samvat 1852, was presented to the Library by Col. Walker of Bowland in 1821.
