1. Junjiro Takakusu (1866-1948) 2. The Late Reverend Ekai Kawaguchi (1866-1945) Pt. 1 Short description of each manuscript (p. 1-184) Aarranged in
numerical order. Pt. 2 Appendices of the contents (p. 185-374). Classified arrangement.
Mostly Buddhist works (except about 90 are non-Buddhist). "This catalogue has been compiled from my 39 old note-books i.e. 'Catalogue of the Kawaguchi-Takakusu collection of Sanskrit manuscripts - 1936-43'... readers will see that my old notebooks are still useful for scholar going to investigate the manuscripts more minutely" - Acknowledgement. The said catalogue is now available in the Tokyo University Library. Both the collections were donated to the University of Tokyo in 1915. These were brought during the adventurous trip to Nepal in search of Sanskrit mss. in 1913.
