"The Collection was discovered in the East India House library by Charles Philip Brown in 1837. It was chiefly made by Dr. Leydon. The whole collection was transferred to the Madras Literary Society in 1844. Later on it was retransferred to the College Board. Now it is a part of Government Oriental Manuscripts Library, Madras."
