ततो निर्गतानामपि स्थावरत्वं त्रसत्वं पुनर्दुर्लभं देहभाजाम् । त्रसत्वेऽपि पञ्चाक्षपर्याप्तसंज्ञि-स्थिरायुष्यवद् दुर्लभं मानुषत्वम् ||३||
12.1.3Even if they escape from (microscopic ) nigod, they take birth as immobile one-sensed beings. Getting the incarnation of movable beings is rare and that too, five-sensed and fully developed. Even after getting mindful state, attaining a stable lifespan and human body is extremely difficult.
तदेतन्मनुष्यत्वमाप्यापि मूढो, महामोहमिथ्यात्वमायोपगूढः ।
भ्रमन् दूरमग्नो भवागाधगर्ते पुनः क्व प्रपद्येत तद्द्बोधिरत्नम् ||४||
12.1.4 With immense fortune, one achieves human life. Even after that, foolish beings get trapped in attachments and wrong beliefs and end up falling deeper in the well of sansar. How can beings roaming in such state attain right faith?
विभिन्नाः पन्थानः, प्रतिपदमनल्पाश्च मतिनः कुयुक्तिव्यासङ्गैर्निजनिजमतोल्लासरसिकाः ।
न देवा: सांनिध्यं विदधति, नवा कोऽप्यतिशय- स्तदेवं कालेऽस्मिन्, य इह दृढधर्मा स सुकृती ||५||
12.1.5 A jungle of various beliefs & paths has sprung up in today's time. At every step, people who believe they're wise, trap others in their beliefs by putting up various arguments. In today's time neither do we have such closeness with heavenly gods nor are there any possibilities of extraordinary miracles. Amidst such difficult times, those beings who keep strong faith towards Dharm are truly fortunate.
