INTRODUCTION (Index) ANITYA BHAVNA - Anitya means temporary. Change is constant, nothing is permanent and this the only truth of this world. All things of this worldly life are perishable. So, we should not feel sad or lose our mental peace at loss of such momentary things ASHARAN BHAVNA - Asharan means helplessness. When death approaches, our wealth, family, friends, nobody can save us. So, we have to learn to bear our sufferings with equanimity instead of banking on others SANSAR BHAVNA - In this cycle of birth and death, father of one life may become husband in another life and so on. How strange this Sansar is! We are wandering here since time immemorial and such Sansar is the main cause of our sadness EKATV BHAVNA - Every being is born alone, dies alone and has to bear the fruits of their karma alone. So, we should stay away from attachments & aversions and focus on nurturing our soul ANYATV BHAVNA - Body and soul are different. We are souls, which is eternal while the body is perishable. Wealth, friends, family, nothing is ours. So, we should detach ourselves from all these things ASHUCHI BHAVNA - Our body is made up of impure substances, it generates dirt & even makes other objects dirty. So instead of making endless efforts in cleaning it, we should divert towards purifying our inner self Under JAINISM 4 NEXT-GEN by JAIN YOUNG WING-JYW Page #4 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ SHAANT SUDHAARAS PAGE NO. 4 8. 9. AASHRAV BHAVNA - Aashrav means inflow of karmas. Our unethical thoughts and actions corrupt our soul with bad karmas SAMVAR BHAVNA - Samvar means blocking the inflow of Karma. To clear karmic particles from our soul, we first need to stop the bondage of new karmas 10. NIRJARA BHAVNA - Nirjara means to shed the acquired Karmas. This is the way we can get rid of the harmful effects of karmas before they show their results 11. DHARM PRABHAV BHAVNA - It highlights the fruits of previous punya accumulated by Dharm which we are enjoying today, staying safe & healthy every single day 12. LOK SVARUP BHAVNA - This ideology highlights the structure of universe. Understanding the nature & vastness of the universe makes us realise where we truly stand 13. BODHI DURLABH BHAVNA - The ticket to Moksh is right belief (Samyaktva). Amongst infinite beings roaming in sansar, only a few fortunate ones reach this point, so we need to reflect on the rare gem that we have received Under JAINISM 4 NEXT-GEN by JAIN YOUNG WING-JYW Page #5 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ SHAANT SUDHAARAS PAGE NO. 5 15. MAITRI BHAVNA - We should be friends with all living beings. Friendship brings feeling of brotherhood, respect and love among all 16. 17. 18. PRAMOD BHAVNA - We should admire special qualities of those around us. Those who experience delight in other's virtues, their minds not only attain calmness but also develop such virtues in themselves KAARUNYA BHAVNA - Roaming in sansar, all beings experience immense pain. So, we should inculcate compassion within us and think of ways to vanish other's sufferings MAADHYASTHA BHAVNA - It is pointless in cracking our heads over negative minded people. Keeping neutral mind-set towards such people is the best option Under JAINISM 4 NEXT-GEN by JAIN YOUNG WING-JYW Page #6 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________ SHAANT SUDHAARAS MANGALACHARAN - Invocation PAGE NO.
