Let's reflect on the structure of universe (Lok). This portion of space consists of all kinds of stationary & movable substances and provides shelter to them.
लसदलोकपरिवेष्टितं गणनातिगमानम् ।
पञ्चभिरपि धर्मादिभिः सुघटितसीमानम् ||२|| विनय०
11.2.2 Lokakash is surrounded by Alokakash (empty infinite space) and is impossible to be measured. Still, due to the extent of Dharmastikay and other dravyas, its boundary is certain.
