The knotted end of the tape is then inserted in to the tape to keep it tight. In addition to the items enumerated here, there are many other items. However, it may be clear from this study that the techniques of writing and painting go hand in hand as the scribes and painters do not belong to separate water tight compartments. They are complimentry to eachother. Secondly, tradition plays a major roll in it which is backed by textual sources and thirdly, the art flourished due to the patronage of the Jain community at all times.
