Blue - Neel - or Desi neel : Particular type of aquatic plants were cultivated along the banks of waterbodies in villages. It's few branches are tied in bundles and kept emersed in water under pressure. in large pans for a day till water assumes wine colour. To this, a couple of buckets of lime water is added, which is stirred constantly by two people using there feet, from morning till noon. Soon, the water becomes blue.
