________________ ABOUT THE EDITOR The Editor, universally known and respected as Muni Sri Jambūvijayaji, was only fifteen when he received the diksă at the hands of Muniraj Shri Bhuvanavijayaji Maharaj who had attained mastery over Jain agama literature, various systems of Indian philosophy and other branches of knowledge. Muni Sri Jambūvijayaji, gifted with sharp intelligence, mastered Sanskrit and Prakrit languages and the Jain agama texts and the various darśanas, with Nyāya as the chief one. He is deeply devoted to the twin ideals of a Jain monk jñāna and kriyā (knowledge and conduct) and provides a glorious example of these twin ideals rarely to be met with these days. Besides his command of Sanskrit, Prakrit and Gujarati he has working knowledge of other languages like Hindi, Marathi, Tibetan (Bhota), and English. His critical and standard editions of Sanskrit and Prakrit texts, prefaced with masterly and scholarly Introductions and Indices, more particularly of Vaiseșikasutra and Dvādaśāra nayacakra, have won for him international reputation. He is, indeed, a worthy pupil of a worthy Acārya, who, in fact, in his pre-monk life was his own father, Shri Bhogilalbhai who later became widely known and highly respected as Muniraj Shri Bhuvanavijayaji Maharaj.
