We have been publishing series of pictures in Jain Digest in order to put names to faces. In past issues we published pictures of JAINA Executive Committee members, JAINA Committee Chairpersons etc. This issue covers all 84 Directors of JAINA representing all 54 Jain Societies of North America. As you know, no organization can function without dedication and sacrifice of its Board members or executive committee members. Everyone of them has been putting utmost efforts, by not only giving their time but also paying for out of pocket expenses. Our hats off to them!
The demographics of Jains in North America are changing and so are our needs. This is the era of building temples. Next phase could be of building homes for seniors, retirement/nursing homes etc. In order to focus on this topic, coming December issue of Jain digest will be special issue on "Golden Years and its Challenges". We want your ideas and articles relating to religious and social activities, community housing, health maintenance, financial planning and benefits such as social security and pensions. We would like to publish useful information that specifically relates to our community.
