Kanval Prashar from Rock Valley Col- lege of Rockford IL. came to the Center on May 2nd along with about 30 students. They were first briefed about the essence of Jainism and then were taken around the Temple and the Center. Appropriate literature pertaining to Jainism was given to them. That was followed by a questionanswer session. The visitors were happy to learn about Jainism and what it stands for.
Shri Laghuraj Samadhidin was celebrated in the Center on May 3rd. About 50 devotees enthusiastically took part in the Bhakti and other songs appropriate on this occasion.

An overnight Youth Camp was organized at Days Inn Eureca on March 14th 20 youths participated in the camp. A seminar was given at the camp by Dr. Satish Nayak.
Mahavir Jayanti was celebrated on 12th April at Kansas City along with the Hindu Society of Kansas. For that purpose 55 members of the Society proceeded from St. Louis on 11th and were enthusiastically received by the hosts. A discourse was given by Dr. Rajanikant Shah who was invited on the occasion. The actual Jayanti celebration took place on 12th in the Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of Kansas City. In addition to the message of Ahinsa, Dr. R. Shah gave a copy of Jain Tattava Prakash to every family.

The Jain Center of Greater Phoenix will have Dharmalabh from Mumukshu Shree Chimanbhai Modi, Shree Bharatbhai Shah, Dr. Bharill, and Shradhey Shree Atmanandji this summer and during the Paryusana Mahaparva this year.
Several Young Jain members from Metro Phoenix area are planning to attend the YJA convention to be held in Houston during July 4-6 this year.
