We trust and pray that victory will soon crown the British Arms, and tbe British Empire will emerge from ibe strugyle, stronger, more glorious, and firmly united as ever. We beg bumbly to submit that we entirely support and ap. prove the scheme of reforms suggested by the Indian National Congress and Muslim League, as one to be carried out for the im. mediate requirements of the constitution. We are, however, confdent that any scheme of constitutional reforms, that yon devise after full and nature deliberation, will be so large and liberal as to make a substantial step forward towards meetiag the growing aspirations of the people of this land, as also to so re-shape the constitution as to assure them speedy and secure advance along modern lines. In a couniry of varied population like ours the interest of the certain important minorities have to be safeguarded without introducing any possible discord in the unity of Izdia, The Jaia Community of India is by its faith a distinct cality, and, if important minorities are to have representation in the future electoral system, we humbly submit that the claims of the Jain Community, whose loyalty has been proved unsterving will be given & due Teight and consideration.
