The date of the I. O. Ms. (. No. 4054) as given in the colophon is Samvat 1684 (i. e. A. D. 1628). In the same colophon it is stated that Kesavabhatta composed this work by order of Umăpati Dalapati. The two Mss. have different versions about the same tale.
