1878 In addition to this, we also find some smaller commentaries of Pannavaņā. Muni Punyavijaya has mentioned the commentary named “Bijaka' by Harşakulagami'.! In Muni Punyavijaya's "Introduction to Prajñāpanā" and in 'Jinaratnakośa' we find mention of 'paryāya'. "Prajñāpana-sútra-säroddhåra" is also mentioned in Jinaratnakośa'.
Acarya Malayagiri mentions cūrņi and Vrddhavyākhyā in his Vrtti. Cũrņi is untraceable at present. Malayagiri's commentary is the most elaborate among all the available commentaries. Ācārya Haribhadra Suri's commentary is the most original and basic too.
JAMBUDDIVAPANNATTI
Nomenclature
This canon is known as Jambuddivapannatti (Jambūdvipaprajñapti). Prajñāpti means exposition, information or treatment. It contains the exposition of Jambūdvipa, hence it is called Jambūdvipaprajñapti. Sthānānga sūtra mentions four angabāhya prajñaptis--(1) Candraprajñapti, (2) Süryaprajñapti, (3) Jambūdvīpaprajñapti, and (4) Dvipasāgaraprajñopti. In Kasāyopôhuda, projñaptis have been classified as the five arthâdhikäras of 'parikarma' which is the first division of Drsțivāda—(1) Candraprajñapti, (2) Súryaprajñapti, (3) Jambūdvipaprajñapti, (4) Dvīpasāgara prajñapti and (5) Vyākhyāprajñapti."
