The imaginary aspect is the elephant, the conditional aspect is the form of the elephant and the absolute aspect is the absence of a real elephant. be rtsa-ba-sems-las-gñis-bdag-gis / de-bshin-yod-min-kun brtags snan / gñis-po-sin-tu-med-pa-stel de-ru-rnam-pa tsam-yod-do // 31 rtsa-be-sems-las (=milacittat) gñis-bdag-gis (=dvayatmana) / debshin (=tathā) vod-min-kun-brtags (asatkalpaḥ) snan (=khyātiḥ) / gñis-po (=dvayam) sin-tu-med-pa-ste (=antataḥ Dasti) / de-ru (=tatra) rnam-pa (rakstih) tsam (=mātram) yod-do (=asti) // Skt. tatba asatkalpaḥ khyātiḥ mūlacittaddvaya'mapa / tatra dvayam antato pasti, aksti-matrakam asti / S.V. asatkalpastathā khyāti mūlacittaddvayātmanā / dvayamantato nāsti tatrāsyākstimätrakam || Eng. Similarly 'that which has in it unreal conception' (asatkalpa) appears in dual form out of the basic consciousness.
