He roamed about incog nilo visiting various places. On one occasion, he clandestinely came back to Annahilvada with the object of knowing how the matter stood in the court. His presence was however discovered Jayasimba Siddharaja at once sent his men in search of him But with the aid of a friendly potter named Alinga he evaded his pursuers and made good his escape. Thence he betook himself to Cambay where he was introduced to Hemachandra the well-known encyclopaedist of the Jainas The holy man is said to have foretold his future greatness but he went away disbelieving While stay ing at Ujjain kumarapala received intelligence of the death of Jaysimha Siddharaja. He forthwith made for Annahılvada and got there at night. He saw Kanbada deva who received him with great cordiality and promised him his support.
