महावीराष्टक : Mahaveerastaka

महावीरस्वामी नयन-पथ-गामी भवतु मे॥ In whose Omniscience all animate-inanimate substance Reflect simultaneously with origination, destruction and permanence. Like the mirror, who is guide of the path to salvation. And manifestant of the Universe just like the Sun. Who attained supernatural bliss, breaking transmigrating ties, Such Mahaveer please reside in my eyes.
अतानं यच्चक्षुः कमलयुगलं स्पन्दरहितं, जनान् कोपापायं प्रकटयति वाभ्यन्तरमपि। स्फुटं मूर्तिर्यस्य प्रशमितमयी वाति विमला
महावीरस्वामी नयन-पथ-गामी भवत मे॥ Redlessness of whose eyes, is evident of non-existence, Of anger, inner or outer altogether in any sense. Eyes also free from vibration, denotes facial expression. Calm, quieted, pure in every respect, connotes perfection.. Who became image of non-violence, breaking transmigrating ties, Such Mahaveer please reside in my eyes.
नमन्नाकेन्द्राली-मुकुट-मणि-भाजालजटिलं लसत्पादाम्भोजद्वयमिह यदीयं तनुभृताम्। भवज्वाला-शान्त्यै प्रभवति जलं वा स्मृतमपि
महावीरस्वामी नयन-पथ-गामी भवतु मे॥ Whose both feet made splendid with Splendour jewel, Of crown of deities of heaven while bowing down well. Remembering only whose name, the flames of the Universe, Convert into water for averting people's cursse, Became incarnate of peace, breaking transmigrating ties Such Mahaveer please reside in my eyes.
यदर्चाभावेन प्रमुदितमना दर्दुर इह क्षणादासीत्स्वर्गी गुणगणसमृद्धः सुखनिधिः । लभन्ते सद्भक्ताः शिवसुखसमाजं किमु तदा
महावीरस्वामी नयन-पथ-गामी भवतु मे। Having desire to worship whom, within no time, Delighted frog became endowed with powers sublime. Possessed of mass of virtues, got a divine seat, Then no wonder in the least, if a devotee discreet, Attains eternal joy, breaking transmigrating ties. Such Mahaveer please reside in my eyes.
कनत्स्वर्णाभासोऽप्यपगत-तनुर्ज्ञाननिवहो विचित्रात्माप्येको नपतिवर सिद्धार्थतनयः। अजन्मापि श्रीमान् विगत-भवरागोद्भुतगतिर् महावीरस्वामी नयन-पथ-गामी भवतु मे॥
