The Central Jaina Publishing Aouse, Arrah Announcements-We are extremely delighted to see that Babu Kumar Devendraprasad Jain the managing proprietor of the said institution is doing a work of sterling worth by publishing into English the Digambara and Swetambara Sacred books and General Literature to go by the name of Bibliotheca Indica' with the object of dispelling thereby notions regarding Jainism prevailing broadcast amongst the Oriental scholars and the public at large, and of enlightening the public upon the true principles of Jaina Philosophy and giving a correct idea of the services rendered by the Jaina Acharyas by way of contributing amply to the Literature and Philosophy of the world. This noble institution has undertaken the publication of something and everything important of Jainism if funds are forthcoming; but at present it has made annouucements to publish some 20 works out of which the key of knowledge and Dravya Sangraha of Shri Nemi Chandra will be out within a month.

The key of knowledge is a unique publication containing over 1100 pages and is quite an original work written by Mr. Champatrai Jain Bar at Law. The author is really to be congratulated on the publication of such a comprehensive work dealing with the main princlples of Jaina philosophy in comparision with those of other religions. Dravya Sangraha deals with Jaina metaphysics and cosmogony and is edited by Babu Sarat Chandra Ghosal M. A. B. L. who is the General Editor of the Sacred Books of the Jainas. It contains original text of Prakrita gathas with their Sanskrita renderings, transliteration, translation, notes and introduction, glossary of Jaina Technical words, appendices, diagrams and several important materials.
