The Sacred Books of the Jains. The Pioneer in its leading note, (February 1, 1914) writes:
“The Ali India Jaina Association are undertaking the publication of all these volumes of the sacred Books of the Jainas, which have not been published before. All the unpub. lished works of the Jainas, both of the Swetambara and the Digambara Sects, are to be included in the series, and - each volume will contain the original text, with an English trans. lation, introduction and critical and explanatory notes on different passages. Number of well-known scholars are to assist in the task and the work when completed should servo various useful purposes and be of great interest to the students of religion and history.
