Participants Comments
Over Thanksgiving weekend, five of us- went to a Jain Education Workshop for Jain Pathsala teachers (of the Jain Youth) to learn more about the Jain religion. My head is still reeling with all the information we were given, but the experience of joy and love was assimilated by me immediately. I thank Gurudev for inspiting us to go to the workshop.

Thank you for sending us the book on Jain Workshop. What an excellent presentation of Jainism. It's systematic layout makes the philosophy very palatable and easy to understand. Congratulations from all of us.
-Chitrabhanu and Pramoda
Overall this workshop brought out an urgent need and continuous efforts for educating not only the Pathshala teachers, but all the active community members, who in turn can pass down the line to second and following generations of young, who are born/brought up and other adults, who work in the Environment of Western Culture.
- FJ Dalal
By the conclusion of the conference, all were eager to try to implement the newly learned ideas in their lives as well as in their classes. Although some were tired following the multiple activities, people enjoyed the chance to deepen their knowledge, meet other Jains, and exchange experiences. The conference was a success and most of the participants eagerly await the next gathering of its kind. - Sejal Sutaria
I would also like to suggest that in future we can keep a separate workshop for only comparative studies or advanced Jain Philosophy. (Covering some advanced Granths like Shri Samaysar) One more time I would like to thank organisers for all their efforts and dedication for a wonderful workshop.
- Ranjana Shah
The workshop was a very valuable educational experience for me. It was an impressive blend of presentation topics, especially since it included presentations by the youth. The material was very inspiring and informative. Facilities and food arrangements were undoubtedly outstanding.

I left with a very positive experience. The food, ccommodation, everything was excellent, not to say the least, the warmth and care given by all the volunteers who made us feel that we were at home away from home. We met many new faces, but spending the time together with a common goal in our hearts, we parted as good friends. I look forward to attending many more in future. I hope to see such workshops as being incorporated as part of continuing education to pathshala teachers.
