Fueled by the inspiration and foundation set forth from past committees, the new Young Jains of America Executive Board has accepted the responsibility of creating a bright future for Jainism and its youth by preserving Jainism's past and placing its present within everyone's reach. YJA has a variety of activities planned for the next six months that needs your participation to be successful. Of course everyone is gearing up for the JAINA Convention in Philadelphia, PA and there will be a variety of youth activities that will enable you to not only meet other people, but also learn more about Jainism. Insightful discussions, educational materials such as stavan books with both transliterations and translations, and fun social events are just some of the things we have in store for you. While we are excited to help organize the programming, we have to know what you want. If you have any suggestions, please contact any member of the board and let us know. Additionally, there are a variety of other projects that you can become involved with through one of our various committees. If you would like to become a local representative or even executive board member, further information is provided in this section. We are in the process of updating and enhancing our webpage, promoting foster focus projects on the local level, and looking forward to several upcoming regional youth conventions in the South and Midwest Regions. YJA strongly encourages you to update your membership information by either filling out the enclosed form or emailing Shubhra Jain with the appropriate information. As CoChairs of Young Jains of America, we would like to maintain the tradition of having a strong organization through hard work, dedication and effective implementation of creative and novel ideas to help further Jainism in today's society. If you have any suggestions, comments or questions, please feel free to contact us at anytime via email or telephone. See you in Philadelphia!
