On behalf of the Executive Committee, I want to thank those 235 families who came forward and committed themselves to support JAINA on a yearly basis by donating $251.00 and taking a major step to make JAINA financially healthy on a permanent basis. In my last message to you, I wrote that we have a respone-ability. It was not simply rhetoric and you have proved it. The results speak for themselves. It also demonstrates vitality and potential of our community This would have not been possible without the hard work of the Executive Committee members and volunteers like Bachubhai Ajmera, K.C. Bhaiji, Bhadresh Dhila, Jagat Jain, Ramesh Jain, Ila Mehta, Prakash Mehta. Bipin Parikh, Mahendra Shah, Ramesh Shah and many others. My hat's off to them. International News ....... Regional News. JAINA Appeal .................. .... 26 24" Medical Camp Appeal.. 27 JAINA reaches out to our youth by providing a grant of $2500 to Southeast Regional YJA Convention to erase their expected deficit and making it possible for 100 youth to participate in Regional YJA Convention for three days in Raleigh, NC, during Thanksgiving weekend. This is just the beginning. Many more good things like Senior Citizens housing, National Education Curriculum to teach Jain religion, greening of one of the places of pilgrimage in India, organizing a Sangh next year to expose our children to places of pilgrimage, planning for a video for our places of pilgrimage and many more activities will enrich the lives of all Jains.
