________________ TULSA JAIN SANGH: Non-Sectarian Jain Center The Jain community in Tulsa has a vision to give our children an opportunity to learn about culture, traditions, religion and many other valuable things. This vision could be realized better if we have our own temple and a center where all of us can get together on regular basis. Also, Indian Community in Tulsa is in need of a community center. We have an opportunity to combine a religious place with a community center. Tulsa Jain Sangh has purchased a land, over an acre, near 71" Street and Utica Avenue in south Tulsa. The cost of the land was $44,000.00 and paid from the existing funds. Our plan is to build a Jain Temple (Derasar) with a community center. Currently, the architect is working on drawings and zoning approval. We expect work to start in early spring of 1998 and complete the construction by the end of next year. The support for the project is overwhelming. We have already raised or received pledges for 65% of the funding needed, however, we are still short by app. $144,000.00. Considering that Jain community in Tulsa is relatively small, we need the support from the entire Indian community in United States. We kindly request that you donate generously and help us to achieve this goal. All donations are tax deductible. Trustees of Tulsa Jain Sangh approved following plan on November 19, 1995 to evaluate possibility of building a Jain Center in Tulsa or surrounding suburb. The trustees have approved following preliminary details and have formed a Fund Raising Committee to get the pledges. E Pledge: I/We would like to pledge $_ pay on or before start of construction.
