SPECIAL JAINA MEET SEPTEMBER 26 - 27,1987
Parma, OH. A special meeting of the Executives of the Jain Federation was held on September 26 and 27,1987 to consider and discuss programs and projects for the period 1987-1989.
The 2-day meeting endorsed many issues and undertakings that were already in progress. The other issues discussed were:constitutional amendments, Jain books distribution, regional family camp, common Jain songs/pooja book and one day Interim JAINA convention in 1988.
The observation report of the Meet, however, is that it lacked proccedure, presentation and a cohesive plan for a long term program and action. Further strenghtening of the organisation requires full participation by all directors of JAIN A.
On the concluding day, before the meeting was adjourned, a resolution was passed to thank Salgia family for hosting the meet.
