Caitanya himself had such a long communion with Krşņa for a period of twenty-one hours and once he had become even breathless for seven hours but possessed the bodily heat. Caitanya used to fall into swoons of ecstacy when he used to be overwhelmed with the love and joy of Kțsna. His love was completely devoid of any kind of impurity and no parallel to it could be shown in the world. As Shishir Kumar Ghose remarks, the love which Lord Gauranga showed for God has no parallel either amongst human beings, or saints or Messiahs. No man or woman had ever loved his or her lover in the way Lord Gauranga loved God. Messiahs have preached love for God, but Lord Gauranga alone preached it, not only by words, but in practice. Such was the unique love of Caitanya for Kțsna. His love was always foliowed by torrents of tear flowing from his eyes, and he used to be completely unconscious of any other thing of the external world. Their communion used to be perfect and Caitanya used to be completely forgetful of the external world when he used to be in his trance.
