(d) The Lines of Evolution
From a synthetic survey of the various concepts of the Self (Atman) as expressed in the different systems of Indian Philosophy it appears that the evolution of the concepts of Atman and Moksa has tended to be in the following directions on the whole though one cannot say that the progress is in a straight line.
