World Jain Confederation is one of the most esteemed jain organization. Under leadership of Shri Pratapji Bhogilal, wjc has left its everlasting impressions among jains & non-jains worldwide. Shri Pratapji Bhogilal a far sighted jain social worker, a prominent industrialist, is founder & conceiver of WJC. He is currently Chairman Emeritus of WJC. He is known as man of principles with unmatched determination, dedication & is source of inspiration for many. Late Shri L.M.Singhviji , Shri Arunji Mehta, Shri N.P.Jainji, Shri Chetanji Kashyap, Shri Maheshji Gandhi & other office bearers have time to time played vital role in meeting objectives of WJC. Due to motivation of Pujya Gurudev Shri Chitrabhanuji after a long hard struggle , WJC alliance with JAINA has resulted in success of VRG Stamp release by Indian Post Department which is really praiseworthy.
After VRG stamp release event world wide jains are having high expectations from WJC & JAINA alliance for success of much awaited VRG memorial museum asap at Mahuva, Gujarat.
However we would like to specially mention the role played by WJC Core Committee member , shri Maheshji v Gandhi who single handedly took the cause in right earnest & tirelessly worked for more than three years & ensuring that the stamp & first day cover on VRG were sanctioned by Ministry of Communication & Dept. of Post successfully after a long struggle · Even he played important role in preparing & submitting the design concept for said release. In this effort Shri Pratapji Bhogilal , shri Pravibhai C Shah ( JAINA, VRG chair - USA), Shri Prakashbhai Mody (Canada), Smt. Rakshaben Shah (Mumbai), Shri Pradipbhai Jain (Patna -Philatelist), Doulatbhai Jain (Chennai) were of great help & assistance for the success of same. Further Shri Maheshji Gandhi has also initiated programme of Memorial which is planned for converting ancestral house of VRG into a Memorial & also to rehabilitate the family members of VRG current descendants.
