________________ During his several visits to India, he kept VRG stamp matter as his top agenda during his busy personal schedule. He prepared necessary materials for souvenir, brochure for stamp release function. VIII. Hon. Minister Shri Thiru A. Raja, Minister of communications & IT post, Govt. of India, New Delhi. It was he who sanctioned the release of the Stamp ,FDC on Shri VRG & we thank him sincerely. IX. Pratapbhai Bhogilal is a prominent industrialist, a trustee of many institutions including Jain Academy Trust, Mumbai and Vishvakalyan Atma Jain Foundation, Delhi. He is the founder and Chairman of Bhogilal Leherchand Institute of Indology, and Atma Vallabh Jain Smarak Shikshan, Delhi. He has played a pioneering role in the promotion of Jain scholarship at various institutions in India, Europe and the United States & who tirelessly in his ill health at this age, played a major role since 1st kick-off meeting with the blessings of Gurudev Chitrabhanuji that took place on Jan. 5, 2004 where Maheshbhai Gandhi, Pravin C. Shah, Pannalal R. Shah, Rakshaben J. Shah, Gunvantbhai M. Barvalia were present to revive the VRG's mission for issuing VRG Stamp and converting VRG's birth home at Mahuva into VRG M coordinated with many others for the issue of stamp. X. Maheshbhai Vadilal Gandhi, Mumbai, is a Jain Industralist, Social Worker, Philatelist and WJC's Committee Member He as a coordinator of WJC-JAINA for Stamp & Museum project has always acted on various issues irrespective of the end result. During this process though our request was for a Stamp and FDC, earlier the Dept. sanctioned only "Special Cancellation" on the eve of the Parliament of World Religions at Barcelona, Spain, on September 2004 which we didn't accept and pursued for the stamp. He deserves the special credit. He made several visits to Delhi and met several Ministers, MP's, Members of the Philatelic Advisory Committee, and played a very crucial role being one Man - Mission not only in getting the approval of the Ministry but also in identifying the Artist Mr. S. Sankha forthe proposed designs of VRG Stamp, FDC, Cancellation and coordinating with him on preparing and submission of the designs and Texts to the Dept. of Post for their consideration and approval 31
