Mahabal ruled over Pathanpur. Malaya gave birth to another son. His name was kept as Sahasrabal. After Sahasrabal advanced in age, he was proclaimed as heir-apparent.
Once muni Surpal came into the royal park outside Pathanpur. On receiving the news about the coming of his munifather, king Mahabal went on foot to bow him. Maharani Malaya also accompanied him.
