[This verse is in anuştubh metre, and the following 20 verses are also in the same meire, while the last two are in vasantatilakā metre ]. NAMES OF STANDPOINTS: नैगमः संग्रहश्चैव व्यवहारर्जुसूत्रको । शब्दः समभिरूद्वैवंभूतौ चेति नयाः स्मृताः ॥ २ ॥ naigamaḥ samgrahaś caiva vyavahārarjjusūtrakau 1 sabdaḥ samabhirūąhaivambhūtau ceti nayāḥ smrtāḥ 11 2 [naigamaḥ the non-distinguished (standpoint); samgrahaḥ the collective-generic, caiva and also, vyavahāra the practical, rjusūtrakau and the straight-expression, sabdaḥ the verbal, samabhirūąhaivambhūtau the subtle and the such-like, ceti and that nayāḥ aspects, smrtāḥ are spoken of). The standpoints are the non-distinguished (naigama), the collective-generic (samgraha), the practical (vyavahāra), the straight-expression (rjusūtra), the verbal (slabda), the subtle (samabhirūdha) and the such-like (evambhūta). 2.
