According to the Dryasraya, Vägbhata was & Prime Minister of Kumarapala. This fact is' confirmed by the Nadola copperplates of V. S. 1213 64 It is difficult to say who this Vágbhata was Probably he was the son of Udayana wbo built' & stone temple to Adinātha on the Satrunjaya Hill in V, S. 1211 (or A. D. 1154-5) and founded Vágbhatapura at the foot of the hill. In this city, Vagbbata built a temple of Párávanātha and called it Tribhuvanavibära after the King's father. Āmbada or Amrabhata was another, 'mantri' of Kumārapala.
