________________ JAINA'S TWO YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN (1993-1995) (These four pages have been sponsored by the Long-Range Planning Committee) well established and financially secure is graying. The youth are growing up. We have tried to provide a place not only to hang our hats but also a place where our youth can mingle by building Temples and Cultural Centers throughout North America. As we look at the year 2003 and beyond we must ask ourself where we want to be in the next 10 years. As we look back at the inception of Jaina in 1981, and where it stands today; we can say very proudly that we have come a long way, but we have a long way to go. If you have ever seen Arnold Schwarzenagar in a movie you have seen the muscles that won him all of the body building competitions, you have seen the physical power and mental toughness. You knew as soon as you saw him that it took years to develop all that power. What is more important, is that it started out with a plan. To reach his full potential he created a plan and stuck to it and that's how he became so powerful. We at Jaina want to do the same thing, I am pleased to report that we are in the process of finalizing our long-range plan for the coming 10 years (1993-2003). We have formed a committee which has a representative from each corner of North America. We sought your input in our last Jain Digest for our ten year plan. I want to thank those who have already shared their views with us; and I request those of you who are thinking of doing so to please forward your comments at your earliest. We JAINS in North America are at cross roads in our life.
