________________ New Temple Project in Franklin Township, New Jersey With the divine blessings of our Paramatmas and guidance of our Gurujis, the Jain Center of New Jersey has embarked on a project to construct a new temple in Franklin Township, New Jersey. The site for the temple is located in Somerset County in central New Jersey, about 1 mile off Exit 10 on I-287, which is a major north-south highway in the state. Situated on the southbound side of Cedar Grove Lane, the site occupies an area of 9.6 acres. The site is ideally located in a very desirable surrounding. Jain Center of New Jersey purchased the site in December 2000. An auspicious Bhoomi Pujan ceremony was performed at the site on May 18, 2003. On June 22, 2003 an auspicious Shilanyas ceremony was performed. With the installation of the main Shila in the ground, a Jain Temple is sure to rise above it to help achieve spiritual progress A major portion of site improvement was completed in November of 2004.
