Besides the variety in the form of the dividing line on the obverse, one specimen in my collection has a dividing line on the reverse also. The Tamil lettering also varies in several respecte, e. g., one piece reads 'yithu, another 'ithu.' This piece, and the others of the same series that follow, though undated, are known to have been first coined in 1807. 74-79. A. 112-115. Same as Nos. 68-73, bat smaller and inscribed XX Cash. Of this piece too there are varieties not mentioned in Atkins. 80-85. A. 116-119. Same as above but smaller and inscribed X Cash. 86. A. 120. Same as above but smaller and inscribed V Cash. 86a.
