________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir BOOK II, LECTURE 7, LESSON 2. 177 I have heard the following explanation by the venerable (Mahâvîra): The Sthaviras, the venerable ones, have declared that dominion is fivefold: The lord of the gods' dominion; The king's dominion; The houseowner's dominion; The householder's dominion; The religious man's dominion. This is the whole duty, &c. Thus I say. (15). End of the Seventh Lecture, called Regulation of Possession. 1 Oggaha, avagraha. 2 Gâhâvaî, grihapati. In another part of the commentary it is explained grâmamahattarâdi, his dominion is grâmapâtakâdikam. Sâgâriya, sâgârika. It is explained sayyâtara, host. His dominion is shampasâlâdi. * Sâhammiya, sâdharmika. His dominion is vasatyâdi, his domicile which extends for a Yogana and a quarter.
