FOREWORD
This is the second volume of the Descriptive Catalogue of Manu. scripts to be published under the scheme of special assistance from the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The grateful thanks of the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute are due to the Ministry for its kind interest in the work of the Institute.
The manuscript of this volume was prepared by the Late Professor P. K. Gode, Curator of the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, many years ago. It had, therefore, to be thoroughly recheckod, amended, and added to wherever necessary, before it could be handed over to the press. For this editing and also for seeing the volume through the press within a short period of time we are sincerely thank. ful to our present Curator, Dr. P. D. Navathe, and Academic Superintendent, Shri A. N. Gokhaley.
We are glad to report that the Institute has already received from the Ministry a grant towards the printing of two more volumes of the Descriptive Catalogue. The manuscript of these two volumes is ready and is now being edited for the press. It is hoped that the volumes will be published during the course of this year.
