________________ Shri Ashtapad Maha Tirth_ Ashtapad has derived its name from the fact that it has eight steps. 8 steps were carved at the bottom of the mountain in the center. Above that 4 layers of Gokhlas were carved as per the scripture. A design with regular carving was done in the beginning but later on a Asht Pratiharya design was added and hence all 24 Gokhalas have a Asht Pratiharya design. Individual Yaksh Yakshini are carved at the base next to the Sinhasan. A five Shikhar design has been added at the top to give the whole structure, the appearance of a temple. All Shikhars are carved as per the design in the scripture, and will be adorned with gold kalash. The Dhwaja (flag) will be at the top in the center. Mountain & Shri Chovisi will be illuminated from the front using LED lights. As well as it will be illuminated from the back using color lights, giving it an amazing effect. Ratna Mandir - 408 -
