षद्रव्य-पंचास्तिकायवर्णन दिखलाई पड़ता है, किन्तु यह देखा जाता है कि जो गमन करते है वे ही ठहरते हैं या जो ठहरे हुए हैं वे ही गमन करते हैं । इसीसे सिद्ध है कि ये धर्म और अधर्म मुख्य हेतु नहीं हैं। यदि वे मुख्य हेतु नहीं हैं तो जीव और पुगलोंकी कैसे गति और स्थिति होती है । इसलिये कहते हैं कि वे निश्चयसे अपनी ही परिणमन शक्तियोंसे गति या स्थिति करते हैं। यहाँ यह अभिप्राय है कि निर्विकार चिदानंदमय एक स्वभाव जो परमात्मतत्त्व है वही उपादेय है, उस शुद्धात्मतत्त्वसे भिन्न ये धर्म अधर्मद्रव्य हैं इसलिये ये हेयतत्त्व हैं ।। ८९।।
इस तरह धर्म अधर्म द्रव्य दानीको स्थापनाको मुख्यतासे तीसरे स्थलमें गाथा तीन कहीं। ऐसे सात गाथाओंमें तीन स्थलोंके द्वारा पंचास्तिकाय छः द्रव्यके प्रतिपादक प्रथम महा अधिकारके मध्यमें धर्म अधर्मका व्याख्यानरूप छठा अंतर अधिकार पूर्ण हुआ।
आकाशद्रव्यास्तिकायस्वरूपाख्यानमेतत्सव्वेसिं जीवाणं सेसाणं तह य पुग्गलाणं च । जं देदि विवर-मखिलं तं लोए हवदि आयासं ।।९।। सर्वेषां जीवानां शेषाणां तथैव पुलानां च ।
यद्ददाति विवरमखिलं तल्लोके भवत्याकाशं ।।९०।। षद्रव्यात्मके लोके सर्वेषां शेषद्रव्याणां यत्समस्तावकाशनिमित्तं विशुद्ध क्षेत्ररूपं तदाकाशमिति ।।९।।
अब आकाशद्रव्यास्तिकायका व्याख्यान है।
अन्वयार्थ ( लोके ) लोकमें ( जीवानाम् ) जीवोंको ( च ) और [ पुद्गलानाम् ] पुद्गलोको ( तथा एव ) वैसे ही ( सर्वेषाम् शेषाणाम् ) शेष समस्त द्रव्योंको ( यद् ) जो ( अखिलं विवरं ) सम्पूर्ण अवकाश ( ददाति ) देता है, ( तद् ) वह [ आकाशम् भवति ] आकाश है ।
टीका-यह, आकाशके स्वरूपका कथन हैं। ___घटद्रव्यात्मक लोकमें शेष सभी द्रव्योंको परिपूर्ण अवकाशका निमित्त है, वह आकाश हैजो कि [ आकाश ] विशद्धक्षेत्ररूप है ।।१०।। ___ सं० तात्पर्यवृत्तिः– अथानंतरं शुद्धबुद्धकस्वभावात्रिश्चयमोक्षकारणभूतात्सर्वप्रकारोपादेयरूपात् शुद्धजीवास्तिकायात्सकाशान्द्रिन्न आकाशास्तिकायः सप्तगाथापर्यंतं कथ्यते । तत्र गाथासप्तकमध्ये प्रथमतस्तावल्लोकालोकाकाशद्वयस्वरूपकथनमुख्यत्वेन “सव्वेसिं जीवाणं'' इत्यादि गाथाद्यं, अथ आकाशमेव गतिस्थितिद्वयं करिष्यति धर्माधर्माभ्यां किं प्रयोजनमिति पूर्वपक्षनिंगकरणमुख्यत्वन "आगासं अवगासे'' इत्यादि पाठक्रमेण गाथाचतुष्टयं, तदनंतरं धर्माधर्मलोकाकाशानामेकक्षेत्राव.
