को भी देशघाती मानने का कारण यह है कि बीयन्तिराय का उदय होते हुए भी सूक्ष्म निगोदिया जीव के इतना क्षयोपशम अवश्य रहता है जिससे आहार परिणमन, कर्म नोकर्म वर्गणाओं का ग्रहण, गत्यन्तर गमन रूप बोर्यलब्धि होती है । वीर्यान्तराय कर्म के क्षयोपशम की तरतमता के कारण ही सूक्ष्म निगोदिया से लेकर बारहवें गुणस्थान तक के जीवों के वीर्य (शक्ति, सामर्थ्य) की हीनाधिकता पाई जाती है । यह सब केवली के वीर्य का एकदेश है । यदि वीर्यान्तराय कर्म सर्वघाती होता तो जीव के समस्त वीर्य को आवृत करके उसे जड़वत् निश्चेष्ट कर देता। इसीलिये वीर्यान्तराय कर्म देशघाती है।
यहाँ सर्वघाती को २० और देशघाती की २५ प्रकृतियाँ बतलाई हैं जो कुल मिलाकर ४५ हैं, सो बंध की अपेक्षा से समझना चाहिये । जब उदय की अपेक्षा विचार करते हैं तो सम्यक्त्व और मिश्र मोहनीय को मिलाने पर ४७ प्रकृतियां होती हैं। इन दोनों में सम्यक्त्व मोहनीय का देशघाती में और मिश्र मोहनीय का सर्वघाती प्रकृतियों में समावेश होता है। तब सर्वघाती २१ और देशघाती २६ प्रकृतियां हैं ।
१ गो" कर्मकांड में बंध व उदय की अपेक्षा सर्वघाती और देशघाती प्रकृतियों को गिनाया है-
केवलाणावरणं दमणछत्रकं
कमायया रस्यं । मिच्छन मवादी सम्मामिच्छे अबंधहि ॥३६॥ केवलज्ञानावरण छह दर्शनावरण (केवलदर्शनावरण, पांचनिद्रा) बारह कषाय (अनन्तानुबंधी अप्रत्याख्यानावरण, प्रत्याख्यानावरण क्रोध मान, माया, लोभ) मिथ्यात्व मोहनीय ये २० प्रकृतियां मधाती हैं। सभ्य मिध्यात्व प्रति भी उदय व सत्ता अवस्था में सबंधाती है। परंतु यह धात्री जूदी ही जाति की है।
णाणाचरणच उक्कं तिदंसणं

ज्ञानावरण चतुष्क, दर्शनावरणत्रिक, सम्यक्ल, मंज्वलन कोषादि चार, नौ नो कवाय, पांच अंतराय छत्रीस भेद देशघाती हैं ।
