बंध करता है तो वह बंध सादि होता है । अथवा दसधै गुणस्थान में ही उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध करने के बाद वह जीव पुनः अनुत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध करता है तब वह बंध सादि होता है। क्योंकि उत्कृष्ट योग एक दो समय से अधिक देर तक नहीं होता है । उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध होने के पहले जो अनुत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध होता है, वह अनादि है । अभव्य जीव का वही बंध ध्रुव है और भव्य जीव का बंध अध्रुव है। ___सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव के स्त्यानद्धित्रिक का बंध नहीं होता है और निद्रा व प्रचला का उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध चौथे से लेकर आठवें गणस्थान । तक होता है, अतः सपालाद्धाला का माग भी उनको मिलता है । उक्त गुणस्थानों में से किसी एक गुणस्थान में निद्रा और प्रचला का उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध करके जब जीव पुनः अनुत्कृष्ट बंध करता है तो वह सादि कहा जाता है । उत्कृष्ट बंध से पहले का अनुत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध अनादि है । अभव्य का बन्ध ध्रुव है और भव्य का बन्ध अध्रुव है।
भय और जुगुप्सा का उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध भो चौथे से लेकर आठवें । गुणस्थान तक होता है । उनके अनुत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध के भी पहले की तरह ही चार भंग जानना चाहिये । यानी ये अविरतादिक जब उत्कृष्ट योग से गिरकर अथवा बंधच्छेद से अनुत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध करते हैं तब वह सादि और उससे पूर्व का अनादि तथा अभय्य के ध्रुव व भव्य के अध्रुव होता है। इसी प्रकार अप्रत्याख्यानावरण कषाय, प्रत्याख्यानावरण कषाय और संज्वलन कषाय, पांच ज्ञानावरण, पांच अंतराय के अनुस्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध के भी चार-चार भंग जानना चाहिये । अर्थात् उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध के पहले जो अनुत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध होता है, वह अनादि है और उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबन्ध के बाद जो अनुत्कृष्ट बन्ध होता है वह सादि है। भव्य जीव को वही बन्ध अध्रुव होता है और अभव्य का बंध ध्रुव होता है।
