संहनन । इन तेरह प्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध-'मिच्छचे व सम्मो घा'-मिथ्या दृष्टि अथवा सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव करते हैं। क्योंकि उनके यथायोग्य उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध के कारण पाये जाते हैं।
तीसरा खंड निद्रा, प्रचला, हास्य, रति, शोक, अरति, भय, जुगुप्सा और तीर्थकर इन नौ प्रकृतियों का है। जिनका बंध सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव करते हैं। इसका विशेष स्पष्टीकरण इस प्रकार है-निद्रा और प्रचला का उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध चौथे अविरत सम्यग्दृष्टि से लेकर आठ अनूप करण गुणस्थान तक के उत्कृष्ट योग वाले सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव करते हैं। क्योंकि सम्यग्दृष्टि के स्त्याद्धित्रिक का बंध न होने के कारण उनका भाग भी निद्रा और प्रचला को मिल जाता है। इसीलिये निद्रा और प्रचला के उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध के स्वामी में सम्यग्दृष्टि का ग्रहण किया है । मिन गुणस्थान में भी स्त्यानद्धित्रिक का बंध नहीं होता है, किन्तु वहां उत्कृष्ट योग नहीं होने से उसका ग्रहण नहीं किया है ।
हास्य, रति, शोक, अरति, भय और जुगुप्सा का चौथे से लेकर आठवें गणस्थान तक जिन-जिन मुणस्थानों में बंध होता है, उन गुणस्थानों के उत्कृष्ट योग वाले सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव उनका प्रदेशबन्ध करते हैं और तीर्थकर प्रकृति का बन्ध तो सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव ही करते हैं। इसीलिये सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव को निद्रा आदि नौ प्रकृतियों का उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंध करने वाला बतलाया है ।
त्रीया खंड आहारक शारीर और आहारक अंगोपांग, इन दो प्रक. तियों का है । इनका उत्कृष्ट प्रदेशबंधक सुति यानी सात अप्रमत्त संयत और आठवें अपूर्वकरण इन दो गुणस्थानवर्ती मुनि को बतलाया है । ये दोनों गुणस्थान सम्यग्दृष्टि के ही होते हैं और प्रमाद रहित होने से 'मुजई' शब्द से इन दोनों गुणस्थानों का ग्रहण किया गया है।
