पंचम कर्मप्रन्ध
से जिन प्रदेशों में मरण किया जाता है अथवा पूर्व मरणस्थान में पुनः जन्म लेकर मरण किया जाता है तो उनकी गणना नहीं की जाती है । इससे यह स्पस्ट है कि बादर की अपेक्षा सूक्ष्म क्षेत्रपुद्गल परावर्त में समय अधिक लगता है ! बादर का समय कम और सूक्ष्म का समय अधिक है।
सूक्ष्म क्षेत्रपुद्गल परावर्त के संबन्ध में एक बात और जानना चाहिए कि एक जीव की जघन्य अवगाहना लोक के असंख्यातवें भाग बतलाई है, जिससे एक जीव यद्यपि लोकाकार के एक प्रदेश में नहीं रह सकता तथापि पिता एक दश में भरग करने पर उस देश का कोई एक प्रदेश आधार मान लिया जाता है। जिससे यदि उस विवक्षित प्रदेश से दूरवर्ती किन्हीं प्रदेशों में मरण होता है तो वे गणना में नहीं लिये जाते हैं किन्तु अनन्तकाल बीत जाने पर जब कभी विवक्षित प्रदेश के अनन्तर का जो प्रदेश है, उसमें मरण करता है तो वह गणना में लिया जाता है।
प्रदेशों को ग्रहण करने के बारे में किन्ही-किन्ही आचार्यों का मत है कि लोकाकाश के जिन प्रदेशों में मरण करता है वे सभी प्रदेश ग्रहण किये जाते हैं, उनका मध्यवर्ती कोई विवक्षित प्रदेश ग्रहण नहीं किया जाता है
