आमुकर्म के सिवाय शेष सात कर्मों की अबाधा का संकेत पूर्व में किया जा चुका है कि एक कोड़ाकोड़ी सागर की स्थिति में सौ वर्ष अबाधाकाल होता है। लेकिन यह अनुपात आयुकर्म की अबाधा स्थिति पर लागू नहीं होता है । इसका कारण यह है कि अन्य कर्मों का बंधतो सदा होता रहता है। किन्तु आयुकर्म का बंध अमुकअमुक काल में ही होता है। इसलिए आयुकर्म के अबाधाकाल का अलग से संकेत किया गया है कि - निरुवकमाण छमासा - निरुपक्रम आयु वाले अर्थात् जिनकी आयु का अपवर्तन, घात नहीं होता ऐसे देव, नारक और भोगभूमिज मनुष्य, तिर्यंचों के आयुकर्म की अबाधा छह मास होती है तथा शेष मनुष्य और तिर्यंचों के आयुकर्म की अबाधा अपनी-अपनी आयु के तीसरे भाग प्रमाण है- अबाह सेसाण भवतंसो ।

गति के अनुसार आयुबंध के अमुक-अमुक काल निम्न प्रकार हैंमनुष्यगति और तिर्यंचगति में जब भुज्यमान आयु के दो भाग बीत जाते हैं तब परभव की आयुबंध का काल उपस्थित होता है ।
किस-किस गति में जन्म लेते हैं, का स्पष्टीकरण किया गया है। तियंचों के सम्बन्ध में लिखा है
तेजदुगं तेरिच्छे से अपुष्यवियलगायतहा ।
लिल्यूणगरीवि तहाऽसण्णी घम्मे य देवदुगे || ५४९ ।। तेजस्काधिक और वायुकाधिक जीव मरण करके नियंच गति में और मनुष्य गति में हो जन्म लेते हैं। किन्तु तीर्थकर वगैरह नहीं हो सकते हैं तथा असंजी पंचेन्द्रिय जीव पूर्वोक्न तिर्यष और मनुष्य गति में तथा धर्मा नाम के पहले नरक में और देवद्रिक यानी भवनवासी और व्यंतर देवों में उत्पन्न होते हैं ।

And for the remaining humans and Tiryanchas, the unimpeded period of Ayukarma is one-third of their lifespan - **Abāha sesāṇa bhavatanso**.
