अनवस्थितपत्य अनेक बनते हैं। इन सबकी लम्बाई-चौड़ाई एकसी नहीं है। पहला अनवस्थित (मूलानवस्थित) की लम्बाईश्रीडाई लाख योजनको और आगे के सथ अनवस्थित ( उतरामध स्थित) की लम्बाई-चौड़ाई अधिकाधिक है। जैसे:- अम्बूद्वीपप्रमाण धानवस्थित पल्यको सरसोंसे भर देना और अम्बूबीपसे लेकर भागेके हर एक द्वीपमें तथा समुद्रम उन सरसोंमेंसे एकपकको डालने जाना । इस प्रकार डालते डालते जिस द्वीपमें या जिस समुद्र में मूलानयस्थित पत्य खाली हो जाय, जम्बूद्वीप (भूलस्थान) से उस द्वीप या उस समुद्र तकी लम्बाई-चौड़ाईवाला मया पल्य बना लिया जाय । यही पहला उत्तरानवस्थित है । इस पत्यमेकर और मक एकको आगे प्रत्येक द्वीपमें तथा समुद्र डालते जाना । डालतेडालते जिस द्वीपमें या जिस समुद्र में इस पहले उत्तरानस्थितपल्य के सब सर्षप समाप्त हो जायँ, मूल स्थान (जम्बूदीप) से उस सर्षप समाप्ति-कारक द्वीप या समुद्र पर्यन्त लम्बा-चौड़ा पल्य फिरसे बना होना, यह दूसरा उत्तरान्धस्थितपत्य है ।
इसे भी सर्पपोंसे भर देना श्रीर के प्रत्येक द्वोपमें तथा समुद्र में एक-एक सर्पपको डालने जाना। ऐसा करनेसे दूसरे उत्तरानवस्थितपय के सर्वपोकी समाप्ति जिस द्वीप में या जिस समुद्रमें हो आप, मूल स्थानसे उस सर्पव समाप्ति-कारक द्वीप या समुद्र पर्यम्त विस्तृत पल्य फिरसे बनाना यह तीसरा उसरानवस्थितपल्य है। इसको भी सर्पपोंसे भरना तथा भागेके द्वीप, समुद्र में एक-एक सर्वप डालकर खाली करना। फिर मूल स्थानसे सर्पप समाप्ति कारक द्वीप या समुद्र पर्यन्त विस्तृत पश्य बना लेना और उसे भी सर्व पोसे भरना तथा उक्त विधिके अनुसार काली करना। इस प्रकार जितने उत्तरानवस्थितपल्य बनाये जाते हैं.
